There are plenty of benefits to choosing a Day Trip in Bali; you can customise the trip to your Itinerary according to what you’d like to see. Uluwatu Tour

Explore spectacular beaches, cliff-edge views, experienced surfing, local seafood restaurants, and the famous Uluwatu Temple, watch the beautiful traditional Kecak and Fire Dance Performances close to the temple and enjoy the most outstanding sunset. The temple sits on a 70-metre-high cliff, there are hundreds of monkeys here believed to guard the temple against bad influences.

If you enjoy water sports, Uluwatu is famous for surf breaks, but depending on the time of year, might be a bit challenging for beginners. You can also head a bit further east to find parasailing on the cliffs, or family fun on jet skis, wakeboarding and banana boats, snorkelling and incredible marine adventures.

Ubud Day Trip

Sit back, relax and be enchanted by the scenery as you drive to Ubud. The iconic Bali attractions in Ubud to visit are Tegallalang Rice Terraces, Tegenungan Waterfall, Tirta Empul Temple and the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary.

The Tegalalang Rice Terrace will take your breath away. Take in the vast beautifully arranged rice paddies that follow the traditional Balinese irrigation system called ‘subuak’. Also in the area, visit the Tegenungan Waterfall, 15 metres high surrounded by lush greenery, where you can spend the morning or afternoon, completely lost in stunning beauty. For a more traditional Balinese experience, visit the Tirta Empul Temple; a sacred water temple with several holy springs, considered by the Hindu Balinese community as blessed water that can purify those who bathe there. No trip to Ubud would be complete without a stop at the Sacred Monkey Forest, where you can adventure through the grounds surrounded by the long tail macaques. This is a popular tourist destination in Bali so take your time and enjoy the shady walk, and the monkeys can be quite naughty, so the biggest tip is don’t carry any food around!

Mount Batur Sunrise Trek

The most rewarding and magical way to start your day! Mount Batur is an active volcano, and one of Bali’s iconic mountains, just to the northwest of Mount Agung. You’ll be picked up by your driver at around 1:00 or 2:00 am, depending on your location, and taken to the car park at the bottom of the volcano. While trekking on a clear morning you’ll be under a sky full of stars along the way, and at the top, you’ll be welcomed by the most incredible sunrise. When you get to the top your guide will organise breakfast and you can get a hot coffee or hot chocolate to warm you up while you wait for sunrise.

Most trips up Mount Batur can be organised with a waterfall visit, luwak coffee plantation or hot spring visit afterwards, to relax after the trek. While you’re there we’d also highly recommend visiting one of the local cafes at Kintamani that overlooks Mount Batur, Mount Agung and Lake Batur.

Sideman Village Tour

This tour is packed with panoramic rice fields, farmlands, and quaint villages within the beautiful hills and valleys. You can see Bali’s magnificent Mount Agung and visit one of the many agricultural valleys. Sideman is old, untouched Bali, peaceful and full of local authenticity. It has some of the island’s most remote and striking areas with scenic mountains and antique temples.

On your adventure stop for a dip at the natural baths at Gembleng Waterfall. The views are spectacular, make sure you climb all the way to the top to see Bali from a different perspective.

On your trip, we recommend stopping at Taman Ujung Water Palace. This beautiful historic site was built in 1919 and has the backdrop of Mount Agung, surrounded by pools, ponds and perfect gardens.

Tanah Lot Day Trip

If you’re looking for a more significant spiritual day trip Bali, visit Tanah Lot, the famous Hindu Temple and UNESCO World Heritage Listed Site on the west coast of Bali. The temple stands on solid sea rock. Take the day to stroll through the local markets, stop for some lunch and enjoy the view. There is plenty to explore here, and you’ll likely see and experience a traditional Balinese Hindy ceremony, and be sure to stick around with your camera ready for the magical sunset hour.

Gates of Heaven – East Bali

To capture one of the most popular photos taken in all of Indonesia, at Lempuyang Temple’s Gate of Heaven, you need to leave early to miss the crowds. While Besakih Temple is known as the mother temple of Bali, Lempuyang Temple is one known Bali’s oldest and most highly regarded temples and places of worship. And with high spires and a majestic mountain backdrop, it’s no wonder why you’ll find thousands if not millions of shots and videos all over social media. As part of your Bali full-day tour, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a trip around Kintamani, with stops at cafes that overlook Mount Batur, Mount Agung and Lake Batur. You can pack your swimsuits and request to visit some secret waterfalls and valleys along the way to make it a full day of exploring.

Nusa Penida Snorkelling Excursion

Visiting the neighbouring islands of Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida are highly recommended, though we would suggest booking an overnight room and doing more than just a day trip. However, if you are short on time for your holiday, you can certainly make the most of a day of it. Departing from Sanur, Nusa Penida Island is home to clear blue waters, beautiful cliff rock formations and snorkelling to see Manta Rays and incredible marine life. On a day trip, you can visit several snorkelling points, have lunch, relax with stunning cliff edge views and take some memorable photos at the most famous spots around the island.
