So, if you’re nearby, then you’re in the heart of the action already and you can probably walk to a great party.
However, if you’re not, then don’t worry, you’re only a short Grab ride away from the action and that won’t break the bank.
Canggu Nightlife Need-To-Knows & Safety Tips
There are a few things you should know before you go out and party in Canggu.
The legal drinking age – it’s 21. You’ll probably never be asked for ID in any of the Canggu nightlife spots, but it’s better to be safe than sorry and carry it with you.
Don’t drink and drive – not only is this dangerous to others but it will also invalidate your insurance. Unless you have a few hundred thousand dollars to waste in the event of a crash (and you don’t because you wouldn’t even consider a scooter if you did), it’s a bad idea.
Use Grab or Gojek – ride-sharing apps are cheaper than taxis, run fewer risks of getting you ripped off and don’t even require cash. Getting between venues is way safer in a car than on a scooter.
On a scooter, wear a helmet – not only will this ensure that you’re insured but it will stop you from being harrassed by the police and fined too.
Keep your possessions close – most nights in the Canggu nightlife are way safer than they are at home but petty crime is real in Bali and it’s best to keep an eye on your things and keep them close by to avoid pickpockets and bag snatchers.

Alcohol in Bali is not as expensive as it is in most Western nations but it’s not always cheap.
A local beer in a supermarket is a couple of dollars but in a high-end nightclub, the same beer might cost $7-$9.
Cocktails tend to start at around $10 and work their way up from there, though happy hour prices can be more reasonable.

Friends is one of the newest and coolest additions to the Canggu nightlife scene.
They have some amazing plant-based bar snacks (and now, they have meat-based offerings too) and drinking here is an experience that’s worth savouring.
It’s the perfect spot for a warm-up before visiting FINNS too! But most of all, it’s the best place to party until dawn.
While there is an official closing time, a little bird tells us that the team at Friends Bar will be only too happy to hang around until the majority of people want to go home.

Is Nightlife Better In Canggu or Seminyak?
Canggu. Canggu nightlife beats Seminyak nightlife because Canggu is more relaxed and about having a good time whereas Seminyak is all about being seen to have a good time.
There’s nothing wrong with that, mind you, we’ve had some nice nights out in Seminyak but Canggu is better now.

We think Canggu. Of course, we’re biased because we know that FINNS is the best place to party in Bali. Particularly if you’re in the mood for local and international DJs and some of the finest vocal work on the island.
However, we would note that the scene here has evolved recently and Canggu’s nightlife scene is the newest and freshest in Bali too.
Where To Party on Saturday In Canggu?
FINNS, of course. FINNS is the best place to party in Canggu every night but it’s busiest on weekends and you can have a great time dancing to live music and enjoying a great mix of sounds from the latest house and EDM tracks (no hip hop). So, spend your Saturday Night at FINNS and your Monday night too, if you can.
We’d say Canggu because clubbing at FINNS is a unique experience. There are still more clubs in Kuta and Seminyak but they’re not as much fun.

Canggu has only recently become popular and that’s partly because it was less developed, so a lot of new businesses have moved to Canggu and the whole area feels fresh and exciting.

There was a time when Canggu nightlife was something of an afterthought, but no more. Canggu’s time has come and it’s starting to become the most popular spot on the island.
We think there’s a good reason for that and it’s because the party vibe here is less pretentious than in Seminyak and not overcrowded like it can be in Kuta.
Many people come to Canggu for a wild night and find that the combination of live DJs, experimental cocktails, a free tattoo, etc. transforms their world completely.
