Paddy’s Pub
Paddy’s Pub Opens at 5 p.m. and the party goes on all night until about 4 a.m.! This is not a place for the faint-hearted.
The emphasis here is on having fun and drinking cheap drinks in large quantities. It’s not too busy in the early evenings but my midnight it’s rammed wall to wall every single night of the week.
They have a nice open-air terrace if you want to chill out somewhere away from the main dance floor.
As you might expect, this bar tends to draw a younger and more party-oriented crowd than some of the other bars in Kuta.

If you’re in the mood for a decent burger, some cold beer, and live cover versions of your favourite classic rock and pop numbers, look no further than the Hard Rock Cafe.
Yes, it’s a chain and yes, it’s entirely predictable but that’s really part of its charm. You know exactly what to expect here and you won’t be disappointed to get just that.
As with all Hard Rock Cafes, there’s an extensive merch chop on hand and you can buy pretty much anything you can think of with their logo on it.

Stark Craft Beer Garden @ Stark Boutique Hotel & Spa
The Stark Craft Beer Garden is where the locally brewed Stark Beer comes from and it’s right next to the Stark Boutique Hotel. The view here is of the busy street and thus, not much to write home about but you don’t come here for views, you come for the beer.
And that definitely will not disappoint, there is a huge range of brews to try here and you’re guaranteed to find a cold schooner full that’s to your taste. The interior is set up to encourage people to talk to each other and mingle, which we think is rather wonderful.

Gracie Kelly’s Irish Pub
This is the very first Irish Pub in Bali and it’s surprisingly authentic, particularly when you consider it’s part of a hotel chain’s property.
All the food on the menu is Irish, the drinks are mainly Irish and sold in pints, excellent Irish music fills the place and while we’ve not witnessed any Irish dances, we’re sure they must take place occasionally.
If what you want from Kuta Nightlife is a taste of the Blarney Stone and some good craic, you can find it here at Gracie Kelly’s.
It’s a great spot for live entertainment too and we can never get enough Kilkenny and Guinness, can we?

ENVY Bali Bar & Restaurant @ Holiday Inn Resort Baruna
ENVY Bali Bar is one of the more laid-back dinner options on the island and its location right at the end of the beach keeps it neatly secluded from the hordes of tourists in Kuta.
They have a daily happy hour which runs from 5 to 6 p.m. each night with some very good drinks deals.
It’s an excellent location to watch the sunset from too, with lovely views of the ocean and the beach.
Club-goers might find they’re a little far to walk from to their final destination of the night from here, but it’s worth taking a Grab or Gojek for.

Yes, this is the second bar at the Hard Rock Resort and while it is, strictly speaking, a lobby bar – it’s rather more than that in the evenings.
There’s a stage built into the raised platform by the bar and they have regular gigs here that really are a bit above the usual local bands.
They also occasionally have a visiting celebrity take to the stage and do a secret gig here. That’s the kind of holiday highlight you don’t want to miss.
