The good news is that there are plenty of luxury villas in Bali and our guide to the 29 best will help you find the luxury villa of your dreams.

The 29 Best Luxury Villas In Bali

The Layar Designer Villas & Spa

The best luxury villas are always iconic. More is needed to deliver great service and stunning ocean views. That’s what Bali does best. They need to look the part too.

The Layar’s 23 villas (all with private pools and private tropical gardens) have a signature slope to their roofs that makes them stand out.

You can have meals served in your villa here or dine in their Settimo Cielo restaurant, which uses all local, natural ingredients to create Italian masterpieces in the kitchen.

Ametis Villas

We love the service aspect of staying at the Ametis Villas. From the moment you book, you will be assigned a butler for the whole stay.

It’s their job to anticipate your needs and respond to them. The best luxury villas in Bali excel at customer service, but the Ametis goes the extra mile.

We love the Ruby Private Spa, which is shared between the 14 villas here and offers one of the best pampering sessions on the island.

The private terraces around each villa make the perfect place for sunbathing in total bliss.

Villa Massilia Bali

With only three sensational villas at this luxury Bali villa complex, you only need to decide which one you want to stay in.

They each have a private swimming pool and unique architectural touches. For example, the Design Villa has a lovely high ceiling and works on a very “open plan” ethos, ensuring all the main living spaces are visible to each other.

In contrast, the Luxury Villa has a living room that sinks into the floor and a gorgeous couch that makes up the home’s centrepiece.

We like the touches of industrial chic throughout the home that aim to set it apart from the competition.

This villa has a private infinity pool that sits atop the garden area and gazes out over the Indian Ocean.

We love to take a dip in the pool and then move on to a long soak in their outdoor spa tub as the sun sets and bathes the world in beautiful red and orange light.

The blackout curtains ensure that no light gets into your room when you’re trying to get the perfect night’s sleep and that’s a great touch.

Wanakasa @ Como Shambala

This villa is far away from the sandy bay beach environment of many of the luxury villas in Bali.

Instead, it’s near the banks of the Ayung River (Bali’s longest river) and the sound of the water flowing is so peaceful.

Oh and did we mention that this villa is a treehouse design? Wake up and look out the window into the jungle canopy before dipping in that infinity pool.

FAQs

How Much Is It To Rent A Villa In Bali?

It depends on what kind of villa you want to rent, where you want to rent it, what season you’re coming in and how long you want to rent for.

An ordinary 1-bedroom villa in a decent but not peak location might cost as little as 1,900,000 IDR a month.

But there’s no cap on how much you can spend renting a villa in Bali; certainly, none of the villas on the list above will be anywhere near as cheap as 1,900,000 IDR for a month.

If you want luxury villas in Bali, you must pay luxury prices for them.

Are Private Villas In Bali Safe?

Nowhere on Earth is 100% safe, but Balinese villas tend to be reasonably secure and though you should lock your doors and windows at night, you’re unlikely to have any issues in the luxury villas above.

Most of these villa complexes will have a security team that reports to the villa manager to ensure the safety of their guests.

We know that there have been rare reports of people staying in villas coming home to intruders, but they are not the norm and staying in a villa in Bali is no riskier than staying in a house in most parts of the developed world.

Will A Luxury Villa Come With Its Own Private Pool?

It depends. Most villas have pool access, but not all have a pool deck and pool.

If you want a private rather than a shared pool with other villas, you should look closely at the available facilities before booking.

If you use Bali Res Centre to book your villa, please emphasize that you want a private pool during the booking process. Their helpful staff will ensure they find you a property that meets your needs.

Final Thoughts On The 29 Best Luxury Villa Options In Bali

If you like what you’ve seen and want to book a luxury villa in Bali, we recommend booking through our friends at the Bali Res Centre.

They will always have the latest information to hand to ensure that your needs are met when you book and they can also ensure you get a fair price.

As you can see, there are so many awesome luxury villas in Bali. You’re sure to find somewhere that can provide you with the standard of living you expect while on the island.
