FAQs

Is Bali Good For Shopping For Clothes?

Yes! Shopping in Bali for clothes makes a lot of sense. Particularly, if you like the local designers as their products are available much more cheaply in Bali than in shopping malls back home.

Is It Cheaper To Shop In Bali? Is Bali Expensive For Shopping?

It depends. Things like street food from food vendors in an art market is way cheaper than back home.

T-shirts and other simple gifts have lower price tags in this shoppers paradise than in most Western towns.

But if you want to buy electronics or imported goods of any kind, they may be as expensive if not more so than at home.

What Kind Of Shopping Can You Do In Bali?

You can buy almost anything in Bali. The island is part of a huge archipelago and very much part of the modern global shopping scene.

Bali shopping consists of everything from high-end luxury malls to night markets and boutique stores.

Whether you’re in the market for vibrant textiles, wooden sculptures, household items, silk scarves, handicraft items, designer clothing or just want to buy souvenirs, you won’t have any problem finding great bargains in Bali.

Is Gucci Cheaper In Bali?

Legitimate Gucci products tend to cost the same the world over, no matter how good your bargaining skills are.

However, if you find your shopping choices in Bali lead you to the conclusion that Gucci products are cheaper in Bali – you’re probably looking at fake products.

Which Part Of Bali Is Best For Shopping?

It depends on what you want to go shopping for. Beauty products, clothing, etc. are best found in Seminyak Village and Canggu where the best designer boutiques are based.

Whereas, if you want to go shopping in a big mall, then Kuta or Sanur is going to be your best bet.

If what you want, on the other hand, is hand-crafted goods or fresh produce from nearby farms, Ubud or Sukawati might be your best option.

What Is Bali’s Biggest Shopping Mall?

Officially, the new Icon Mall in Sanur is the “biggest mall in Southeast Asia”.

However, we’re not sure this is correct based on reports from visitors and based on our own experience there but we haven’t had a chance to measure the place, so we’ll take their word for it. Other than that Living World and Beachwalk should be larger.

Final Thoughts On Shopping in Bali

Many people come on holiday just to go shopping in Bali. It’s a shopper’s dream..

The art markets (Ubud Art Market, Sukawati Art Market, Kumbasari Art Market, etc.) are particularly popular with people looking to stock up on authentic souvenirs and the designer boutiques are in high demand with fashionistas.

However, it’s worth remembering that not everything is cheaper in Bali and it can be better to buy some things at home rather than trying to bring them back in your suitcase at the end of your holiday.
