Does Bali Have Ziplines?

Yes! Bali has quite a few zipline cables suspended across rivers, rainforests, and rice paddies that you can glide through and enjoy the views.

Most ziplines are located in Ubud or north Bali. Due to the heavy traffic, it may take up to 2 hours if you travel from Canggu or Seminyak. But the transport is usually covered by the tour guide.

Things To Know Before Ziplining In Bali

  • Zipline is also called Flying Fox and Canopy Tour. So if you see either – it is the same thing.

  • Ziplining in Bali is often combined with other adventure activities like rafting, ATV or canyoning. A less adventurous package is a zipline + big Bali swing where you can take beautiful pictures.

  • The standard minimal age for ziplines is 12, however many service providers in Bali claim that there are no age limits. Double-check to make sure your kids are safe.

  • The average speed of a zipline is 60 kilometres per hour.

  • The weight limit of Bali’s ziplines is 100 kg (200 pounds). If your weight is above, you will not be able to participate. International standards also mention that minimal weight is 36-40 kg (80-88 pounds). If a person is too light, they may get stuck in the middle of the zipline.

  • Make sure the zipline was set up legally and your experience is fully insured. Zipline activity is not recommended for pregnant women and people with heart or back problems.

The average cost to do a zipline in Bali is around 50-65 USD (73-95 AUD).

However, as zipline is often part of a larger day package, the price will depend on what activities you will do, and any potential park fees, rental, and transport fees.

It is usually cheaper to join a group or bring along some friends than to take a private tour.
