Our Favourite Yoga Classes In Sanur
Yoga @ Maya Sanur Resort
Spa facilities at Maya Resort also double as a yoga studio with daily classes. They offer different kinds of classes, what we like is the non-spiritual practice, free style yoga that definitely suits a wide audience!
For experienced yogis, there are all the classics too, like Hatha yoga, breathwork, or Power yoga, as well as some unique to Maya classes. Think Aqua yoga done in shallow water, Sunset Yoga during golden hour, combined with meditation, or Yogalates, a powerful combo of pilates and yoga asanas.
If you buy a membership, you can also plunge into the resort’s infinity pool and use their gym.
A class costs 119,000 IDR (about 12 AUD), and a private session about 300,000 IDR (30 AUD). 20 or 30-day memberships come with even better prices.

Power Of Now Oasis
Power of Now Oasis is a yoga and meditation centre offering classes and holistic treatments near Mertasari beach within a resort.
Classic Hatha flow, vinyasa flow, and Bali yoga are the main focus, but the evening schedule also includes restorative yoga, Iyengar, and yin yoga.
No reservation is required; they accept walk-ins (120,000 IDR or 12 AUD per class).
The downside of being a popular school is that sometimes classes feel crowded. If there is an event in the nearby hotel, you may hear some noise during the session, too.

Umah Shakti Yoga
A low-key yoga shala surrounded by a tropical garden just a few minutes out of central Sanur – just the perfect setup to rediscover your inner peace.
The top classes they offer are ashtanga, vinyasa yoga, and anti-gravity yoga. The prices are very affordable (from 90,000 IDR or 9 AUD), even for drop-in, but they do have monthly membership options, too.
There are just a couple of classes per day, so please check the schedule beforehand.

Koa Shala
Koa Shala is a very spacious yoga pavilion with a very unique offer; you can not only book a class but also get a yoga practice + massage package. Highly recommend the Chi Reviver treatment, working with energy.
Most classes are suitable for beginners; those who want a little challenge should try vinyasa, power yoga (killer 45-minute session!). It is also probably the only Sanur yoga studio with kundalini classes.
As it is an open-air space, they provide mosquito spray, water, and towels for no extra charge.
Pricing is similar to other studios in the area-120,000 IDR (12AUD) for a single class. Yoga + massage package will cost between 300,000 and 500,000 IDR (30-50 AUD), depending on the type of massage treatment you choose.

Masa Yoga
Yoga classes are led by a skilled yogi, Ron, in a small family-run house studio.
Smaller group size allows the teacher to really pay attention to everyone and give you tips on how to improve your balance and practice.
For advanced yogis, Masa has 90-minute sessions and 2-hour workshop-style learning modules to really deepen your knowledge and practice.
Prices are very reasonable, 300,000 IDR (30 AUD) for a workshop or 100,000 IDR (10 AUD) for a 90-minute standard class. Upon request, they can even come to your place or office for a group or private session.

Sanur Beach Yoga
A great idea to use all that good weather and fresh ocean breeze to do some yoga on the beach!
Double-check which beach the classes will be in Sanur Facebook community, as this initiative doesn’t have a website or social media page.
Sometimes it is at Karang beach at 7.30 AM or on the beach by the Hyatt Hotel at 8 AM on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
The best part about these yoga classes? They are completely free to join, but you should bring your own mat and whatever else you need for practice (water, towel, etc).

Yoga Classes @ Fitness Plus Sanur
Fitness Plus is a proper 24/7 gym with lots of equipment and group classes, including yoga.
It will be great for beginners and someone who is looking for a mellow practice, but they don’t have a variety of yoga styles to suit advanced yogis.
If you need a gym membership and want to try yoga, this is a good option. Plus, they have a free trial for open gym, so you can come and ask all the questions about yoga, too.

Yoga Classes @ Paradise Bali Gym
Paradise is a one-stop solution for a healthy lifestyle. They have an open gym, CrossFit, a recovery zone with sauna and ice bath, and a healthy cafe.
Great group yoga sessions, too, with two yoga teachers. Usually, there are sessions in the morning, but best to check their weekly schedule or message them directly, as they don’t always post about yoga specifically.
An advantage of doing yoga in a gym is that you get access to all the facilities, so you can enjoy the sauna, jump in the ice bath, and then have a meal.

Yoga Classes @ Prime GYM & SPA
Local-owned simple gym with classes and a spa. The yoga classes happen at an indoor studio, so no mosquitoes, and usually every Tuesday at 7.30 AM.
The room is big enough and groups are small, so there is enough space to safely move and set up your mat.
Again, as it’s often the case with yoga classes at gyms, there is no variety in the yoga styles they offer; the classes are mostly based on classic Hatha flow, but the instructor will adapt it to you, if necessary.

The weekly schedule is packed from early morning till late evening. Classes range from staples like morning Sun Salutation and Vinyasa to different variations of hot yoga, and specialised practices for women’s health or back issues.
Some weekends, there are kids and prenatal yoga sessions, too!
Their prices for drop-in are the highest in the area, though, 250,000 IDR (25 AUD) per person.
