Top Nusa Lembongan Hotels for an Unforgettable Island Getaway

The amazing little Nusa Lembongan island is a paradise-like destination for your vacation with luxurious hotels, white-sand beaches with no plastic waste, and surfing, snorkelling, and diving activities.

If you are planning a few nights there, here are the best places where to stay in Nusa Lembongan for solo travellers, families, or couples on every budget.

Here are our favourite accommodation options, from 5-star resorts to budget hostels, that you can book in Nusa Lembongan for an unforgettable stay.

Where Is The Best Part Of Nusa Lembongan To Stay?

Aerial Drone Photo of coastline in Nusa Lembongan Ceningan Bali Indonesia

The majority of the hotels in Nusa Lembongan are concentrated around the southwest side of the island, where all the best beaches and sunset views are.

So most of the available properties in Nusa Lembongan will be around Mushroom Bay, Sandy Bay, Dream Beach, Tamarind Beach, Jungut Batu Beach, and Coconut Beach areas.

Jungut Batu Beach is the best area to stay if you want to be within walking distance of multiple dining options, beach, and socialize more. Most fast boats arrive at the small port here.

Couples will enjoy staying around Mushroom Beach and Dream Beach as they offer more privacy. Families often stay around Tamarind Beach or Coconut Beach as hotels there are affordable and hillside options have some of the best views on the island.

The main area around Lembongan Beach is busy with boats and people, and often fresh ocean breeze pairs with a diesel smell so we don’t like staying around this beach, however, it is close to great restaurants, and beauty and spa services.

Best Luxurious Hotels In Nusa Lembongan

Upscale hotels in Nusa Lembongan offer excellent value for money and the rate per night is around 2,500,000 to 3,700,000 IDR (250 to 370 AUD).

Hai Tide Beach Resort Mushroom Beach

Hai Tide Beach Resort is our top recommendation for couples. It is a complex of beachfront bungalows on stilts with a restaurant and an open-air movie theatre. You can also rent a bike or diving gear here.

We highly recommend getting the boat tickets directly through the accommodation. You can book a private catamaran that will take you from Bali port directly to the resort.

FAQs

Is It Worth Staying On Nusa Lembongan Island?

Absolutely! Nusa Lembongan is a wonderful and postcard-worthy island with many things to do and a great opportunity to relax and disconnect. It has beautiful beaches and one of the best sunset views we’ve seen.

Is It Better To Stay On Nusa Penida Or Nusa Lembongan?

We prefer Nusa Lembongan. Nusa Lembongan has nicer hotels and they are clustered close to restaurants, beaches, and spas, unlike accommodations in Nusa Penida.

How Many Nights Should I Stay In Nusa Lembongan?

Staying 3 days and 2 nights on the Nusa Lembongan island will be enough if you’re looking for a romantic escape or to recharge. If you want to explore the best diving and surfing spots around the three Nusa islands and go on a snorkeling trip, you should extend your stay for up to a week.

Final Thoughts On Nusa Lembongan Hotels

If you’re looking for more affordable options yet want to be close to Lembongan Island, browse hotels in Nusa Ceningan, they tend to be cheaper and much quieter.

We love staying around Mushroom Bay and Jungutbatu Beach, and had mixed feelings about staying on the east side – it has pretty views, but it felt a bit too isolated.

Definitely explore all three Nusa islands and do some water activities while here!
