The Indonesian Arrival Card: Everything You Need To Know About The All-Indonesia Arrival Card

Travelling to Indonesia used to mean filling in a lot of forms, both online and sometimes offline, and this could be both confusing and frustrating if you found you had to spend time at the airport on arrival dealing with all this admin.

So, since September 1st, 2025, the Indonesian government has launched an integrated arrival portal to ensure that the arrival process is as streamlined as possible. This is the All-Indonesia Arrival Card system, and here we’ll take a look at what this means, how to complete the arrival card and more.

The Important Bit

Indonesian Arrival Card

You no longer need to complete separate forms when you arrive in Indonesia or online. You can complete all the paperwork online before you arrive in Indonesia (up to 72 hours before your arrival date). This will make your life much easier at the airport (or port) of arrival in the country.

All travellers, both Indonesian and foreign visitors, must complete an arrival card.

If you forget to do an All-Indonesia Arrival Card before you enter Indonesia, you will be required to complete one and wait for the QR code before you pass through customs. This may be easier said than done if your port of arrival has poor Wi-Fi or cell service. We strongly recommend that you complete it before you fly.

If you lose the arrival card, don’t worry, it can easily be retrieved from the All-Indonesia website.

What Is The All-Indonesia Arrival Card?

This system replaces three previous forms: the arrival card, the electronic customs declaration, and the electronic health declaration.

How To Complete The Arrival Card

The good news is that it’s super easy to complete this form, and it doesn’t take very long to do. You can also complete one form per group of travellers, so you don’t need to fill in a form for every member of your family or group, as long as you are all entering Indonesia on the same flight or ship.

Head To The Official Website

Indonesian Arrival Card

It’s important to use the official website, which is: https://allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id/

There are other websites offering to do this process for a fee. The official site is completely free, and there is nothing that might require the services of an agent to complete here.

Then, click the button for either an Indonesian Citizen or a Foreign Visitor as appropriate.

Provide Your Data

You can either enter your passport number, etc. by hand, or you can use the MRZ scanner service to scan your passport. Please only use the passport that you use with other immigration services. Otherwise, you may be prevented from entering Indonesia.

Your visa information is not needed as part of this process, but you must have a visa for entry to Indonesia or qualify for visa-free entry.

Provide Your Travel Details

You will then be asked to provide your arrival date, your departure date, and the purpose of your travel. The purpose of travel should be the same as the purpose stated to secure your visa.

Provide Transport Details And Your Address

You must let them know how you will enter the country (by air, sea or land), your arrival point and the flight number, etc.

They also require that you provide a local address. This should be the address of the first hotel you intend to stay in if you are on a multi-destination holiday.

Complete The Health Declaration

This requires you to declare any recent symptoms that you may have suffered from in the past 21 days and to list countries viisted that you have passed through in the same time period.

At the moment, there are concerns regarding mPox, Ebola and other transmissible diseases.

Quarantine And Customs Declaration

You will need to state your baggage count and whether you are bringing animals, plants or other restricted goods into the country, and to declare them here.

If you intend to stay in Bali for more than 90 days and want your phone, tablet, etc. to be able to connect to the local phone network, you must make an IMEI registration and pay tax on the device when you arrive in Bali.

Most tourists using a visa on arrival will not need to worry about this, as they will have an onward travel date in less than 90 days.

Review The Form And Submit It

Then, review your required details and complete the submission process to receive your QR code. You will need to take a copy of the QR code and keep it on your phone, as it will be scanned by Indonesian authorities after you arrive in the country. If you can’t produce this QR code, you may need to go through the whole process again.

Notes About The All-Indonesia Arrival Card System

  • Incoming passengers must still have an appropriate visa. Passengers entering Indonesia with a visa may be able to buy a visa on arrival, but an e-visa is a much easier option.
  • Arrivals in Bali are also required to have paid the tourist levy, which is paid on a different portal, or you can make a cash payment on arrival in Bali.
  • The arrival card process is mandatory for everyone who enters the country.
  • The arrival card process is completely free of charge. You do not need to pay anything.
  • The arrival card, visa and tourist levy do not provide any form of travel insurance; you will need to buy this in addition.
  • Always use the same passport and passport details for all dealings with Indonesian immigration.
