The kids club at this hotel is awesome!

What’s There For The Kids?

The “Children’s Club” is the name of the kids club at Melia and it’s awesome.

They also have a working farm on the site and your kids can make friends with the cows, ducks and chickens they keep there.

Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Resort

Nusa Dua is home to some of the most luxurious hotels and resorts in Bali and the Sofitel is a beautiful five-star complex dedicated to relaxation.

Their SoSpa is one of our favourite places for treatments on the island and the fitness centre is top quality too.

We like that the kid’s pool is right next to the ordinary swimming pools and thus, you can keep an eye on your little ones as they swim without giving up your fun.

What’s There For The Kids?

They say that the kids club at the Sofitel is the best on the island. It’s certainly won enough awards for excellence, that’s for sure.

The staff are all professional child carers and everything has been designed to be fun, educational and super safe.

Creativity is encouraged and nurtured and the hardest part of being at the Sofitel is persuading your kids to stop playing and come and eat with you. This is how every kid’s club should be run.

We love that they have some pleasant tropical gardens to relax in, just a short hop from their white sand beachfront.

What’s There For The Kids?

The Kura Kura Kids Club takes all guests’ children aged between 3 and 12 for free.

Not only do they have the usual range of kids club activities, but they also offer some brilliant floaties for kids who can’t swim and a mini treehouse for them to play in!

The Apurva Kempinski Bali

This five-star resort is one of the finest resorts in Bali. Everything you see was handcrafted by a local artisan and the overall design is meant to evoke the feeling of a local open-air theater.

All their restaurants use fresh, locally sourced ingredients to give you a genuine taste of Bali.

And their spas and wellness treatments are all based on Balinese healing techniques passed down through the ages.

It doesn’t get more authentic than that in Bali.

What’s There For The Kids?

The kids club is called The Jalak Family Club and this family-friendly club tries to encourage parents and children to have fun together.

As you might expect for this chain, there’s a strong focus on traditional Indonesian games, learning Balinese dance and culture, and history, too.

They have turndown services for your beds. A spa famed for its ability to release tension in anyone and some of the best fine dining in the world.

What’s There For The Kids?

Their kids club is called The Children’s Learning Center, which is a bit stuffy as names go, but our kids thought it was brilliant.

They offer half and full-day experiences that are meant to help kids develop a lifetime’s worth of memories of Bali.

The kids club program changes each day and while things like their sustainable cooking classes are awesome, they’re only sometimes available too.

The Westin Resort Nusa Dua

The Westin actually has a Westin Family Program, which is meant to help you enjoy your holiday as a family together. It doesn’t get much more family-friendly than that, does it?

We like that they have both freshwater and saltwater swimming pools and that they also have a waterslide or two to jump in those pools with. There’s no separate kid’s pool, but that’s not a big deal, given how family-friendly the other pools are.

What’s There For The Kids?

The Westin Family Kids Club is one of the most famous kids club offerings on the island.

It even has a children’s spa! And when they’re not being pampered, they can enjoy kite making, movie nights, and many other games and activities.

Club Med

The Club Med resort has won a ton of awards that salute its family-friendly credentials.

Its setting is a bit unusual among the rice terraces and local temples rather than directly on the beach.

However, the splash pools are awesome and we need help to think of many other opportunities to try out a trapeze in Bali.

What’s There For The Kids?

Kids club? How about three kids’ clubs instead? Club Med knows that children of different ages often do better when split into age-appropriate groups.

There is a ton of stuff to do no matter how old they are, and the equipment is all brand new and designed with safety at the fore.

What’s There For The Kids?

Unusually, it has a very extensive library for kids who love to read and the kids pool is close when everyone wants to cool off after having fun.

You’ll be pleased to know you can also get babysitting services from this kids club.

The hotel’s signature “floating breakfasts” are something that you simply cannot experience elsewhere on the island.

If you’ve never had the joy of eating local produce while floating in a private pool, now’s the time to start!

What’s There For The Kids?

Komune is all about outdoor activities in their Kids Club and there won’t be any libraries or studying involved.

Andaz was built so that it would evoke the spirit of a traditional Balinese village and remove the kind of borders that often inhibit exploration at other hotels.

It’s a very tropical setting with plenty of gorgeous lagoon pools to enjoy your time in.

What’s There For The Kids?

The Kemu Mai Kids Club is the onsite facility, but we have to admit that we’re not impressed by the fact that it’s only free to guests and their children for two hours a day.

However, the arts and cultural activities they conduct at this kids’ club are very good and perhaps a cut above those found elsewhere on the island.

What’s There For The Kids?

The onsite kids club has a dinosaur theme for the indoor play area and a pirate theme for the outdoor playground! We simply can’t tell you how much our children liked that.

One great thing about this kids club is that if you’re a resident, you can buy an annual membership of the kids club and then your children can access the facilities when they’re not at school!

There are over 400 rooms onsite and there’s a lovely swim-up bar for those adults seeking a little liquid refreshment during the day.

It has one of the best watersports centres of any hotel in Bali, too.

What’s There For The Kids?

There are three offerings for kids rather than a traditional kids club at this hotel.

You’ve got a “kids zone” which has toys, arts and crafts gear, bikes and a range of sporting activities.

Then, the “splash zone” with a kids pool, water slides and cabanas for chilling out in.

And finally, the “Rip Curl School of Surf” is a hotel partner and children are encouraged to learn to surf during their time at this resort. It’s fantastic!

Their Sunday brunches are famous for being totally family-friendly and superb value.

What’s There For The Kids?

There is an indoor kids club, which is fully air-conditioned and a pair of kid’s pools for outdoor fun.

One event that stands out here is the weekly kid’s fashion show, which is superb fun for everyone who takes part.

Our children loved the garland-making event even if they weren’t as impressed with the origami.

Seminyak’s Top Family-Friendly Hotels & Resorts

Montigo Resorts

Montigo Resorts in Seminyak describes itself as a total lifestyle destination and they aim to deliver an individualized hospitality package that is without peer anywhere in the world.

We were certainly impressed by the level of service at this resort, though we’re still determining if it’s unmatched globally.

One thing everyone agrees on, however, is that the TIIGO restaurant here is very good and you can get pretty much any kind of food that you would like if you just ask.

What’s There For The Kids?

The Tilo Kids Club is their new offering for children and we confess to being very impressed by it.

It caters to all children over the age of 54 and includes baking lessons, art classes, card games and Lego-style building block activities!

The kids club is open free of charge to all children aged between four and twelve, though younger children may join as long as an adult accompanies them.

We like that they do quite a bit of musical activity such as singing and making music on local instruments. The Balinese costume activity is fun, too.

You can arrange an onsite lunch for your children at this kids club, but it does come at an additional charge and isn’t included in the rack rate.

Trans Resort Bali

Trans Resort has plenty of hotel rooms and it’s on a near-pristine beach that you and your kids are bound to love.

There is an area set up on the beach to enable younger children to swim safely and play in the sand without any risks. This is a really nice touch and we wish more hotels would do this.

What’s There For The Kids?

This hotel has one of the most brightly coloured and welcoming clubs that we’ve ever seen for kids. It made us want to join in the play it was so nice.

They have a wonderful gaming room for kids who love to play video games, as well as a craft centre, library, air hockey and much more.

To cap it all off, they have a Baskin Robbins branded ice cream corner that serves all the flavours of ice cream that any child could dream of!
