FAQs

What Is The Famous Street In Kuta, Bali?

Jalan Pantai Kuta or “Kuta Beach Road” is the most popular street for walking and shopping in Kuta, but there are plenty of other famous streets in the area too.

There’s a huge range of local markets, local shops, fast food outlets, luxury boutiques, dining options, well-known brands, etc. within a short stroll from any part of Kuta.

Is Kuta Or Seminyak Better For Shopping?

It depends on your preferences. If you love the shopping mall experience then places like Kuta Beachwalk Shopping Centre and Discovery Shopping Mall have no equivalents in Seminyak.

However, if you prefer small designer boutique stores and really good quality local products at fixed prices, then you may well prefer the shopping experience in Seminyak.

Is Bali Expensive For Shopping?

No. Though it does depend on what you want to buy. Hit any electronics store and you will soon find that the prices are higher than at home.

But use your luggage allowance for traditional fabrics, silver jewelry, art from the art exhibitions and art shops, etc. and you will soon find it’s easy to get a bargain in Bali.

What Is Kuta Popular For?

Kuta is one of Bali’s original beach resort towns and was once very popular with the party crowd.

However, its popularity is waning now with Canggu and Seminyak offering more upmarket and, in the case of Canggu, authentic experiences on the island.

Final Thoughts On Finding Local And International Brands in Retail Shops In Kuta

There’s more to shopping in Kuta than the occasional shopping mall or department store.

There are art markets, art shops, designer boutiques, factory outlets and much more waiting for the committed shopper.

It may not be the “best shopping on the island” but we think everyone should take a walk around Kuta and see if they can sniff out a bargain or two.
