This is a large restaurant that many locals visit on special occasions but which is quite affordable and specializing in the catch of the day.
We really enjoyed the grilled snapper and steamed rice and everything we tried was tasty.
There’s an emphasis on Asian cuisine here with a mixture of Chinese, local and Japanese dishes on offer. They do dimsum too some days.

Village Square Wok-Wok
This pan-Asian restaurant does a great variety of food served in a very charming atmosphere. It’s the kind of cozy place that you can bring a date to or visit with friends.
They do an excellent sate babi (pork satay) at this restaurant but we thought that the chili prawns were the star of the show.
The service here is very attentive and professional too.

Naughty Nuri’s Sanur
Nuri’s is famous for one thing – it’s pork ribs and they are, generally speaking, quite excellent though they do charge a little more for them than some other warungs do.
We find the service is always friendly and you will be welcomed in a cheerful fashion and we love the locally made wooden tables for eating on.
The only thing that could make Nuri’s better than it is now is some live music.

Brasserie Republique
This is one of the best restaurants for French food on the island and we love to head here with our Bali buddies for some delicious cuisine and some world-class desserts.
Last time we visited, we though the steak au poivre was the best we’ve had outside of Paris and the Gambas piri piri was first rate too.
The restaurant also has a great wine list to ensure that your dinner washes down smoothly.

Fisherman’s Club is an upmarket destination that specializes in first-rate seafood which is always fresh and there’s a huge diversity of choices.
It can get very busy here and there’s no cocktail bar to wait at, so we’d recommend reserving in advance or getting there very early to be sure of a seat.
It’s worth it, the ocean view from this place is very good, indeed.

This signature restaurant of the Kayumanis Hotel specializes in the best of the best of Balinese and Indonesian cuisine.

How can anyone resist a place called Warung Baby Monkeys? We don’t know how they could and we certainly didn’t resist.

This may be a tiny warung and the prices may be low, but the food they serve is top tier and they often have a buffet during the evenings, where you can try everything they make for a really low price.

Another excellent restaurant specializing in Japanese cuisine. If you want to eat in an exceptional setting that is always entertaining and fun, Tetsushin is a great place to go.
Their wagyu steak is one of our favourites as it’s always so tender and soft in the mouth but we’ve got no complaints about anything on the menu – it’s all good.
Make sure to check out the artwork before you eat, the place has been decorated very well, indeed.
