Where To Stay Near Kanto Lampo Waterfall
Waterfall Kanto Lampo isn’t on the doorstep of many 5-star or high-end luxury resorts but you can find something in the area to have a good night’s sleep without a problem. Our favourites include:
Uma Hati Bali – a lovely family-run guesthouse with its own private temple and amazing views of the local countryside. If you want a beautiful experience within a short drive of one of the most famous waterfalls in Bali, this is a great place to come.
Hotel Gianyar – a fairly basic place where you pay for a room and then for additional amenities in the room, so if you don’t need a refrigerator, for example, you get a discount rate.
Villa Tedung River – this is something of a hidden gem. It has a lovely swimming pool area and the family that runs it is kind and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable and homely.
Wahya Dewata (A Place of Escape) – this 3-star hotel has a pleasant pool area and some interesting architectural features that look good in Instagram shots.
Kubu Selat Villa and Glamping – the villa is spacious and comfortable, with a lovely private pool, and the glamping looked nice when we went to take a look at it too. If you want an affordable retreat from the world, this could be the place for you.
Where To Eat Near Kanto Lampo Waterfall
There aren’t a huge amount of restaurants in these parts but some of the best include:
Mie Gacoan Gianyar – this place is cheap and cheerful and targeted at Indonesian youth, don’t come with high expectations and you won’t be disappointed.
Warung Babi Guling Pande Egi – if you love babi guling, this is one of the best places in Bali to experience plates of roast pork heaped on rice. It’s something you won’t find in any Bali holiday packages, either, this is the real Bali.
Sababay Winery – what could be better than a nice Balinese meal and a 90-minute wine-tasting session? Not a lot, we think. Sababay Winery is a great place to stop if you’re in the area and the food is excellent.
Warung Kepong Gianyar Sejak 1980 – if you’re in the mood for klepon (a local sweet treat) this is one of the best locations on the island to try it. It’s made fresh every day and the combination of palm sugar and coconut is quite exhilarating.
Rumah Makan Ayam Taliwang – this charming warung specializes in a chicken dish that you can normally only find in Lombok, so if you’re passing through, it’s a good idea to stop and try something here.

Goa Rang Reng Waterfall – it’s not the most impressive waterfall in Bali but it’s a nice place with very few visitors and it’s a very easy hike to the waterfall itself. Worth a visit if you’re passing through but we wouldn’t make a special trip for this one.
Bandung Waterfall – you’ve got to love waterfalls to do this one as you will need to swim to the best part of the area but it’s worth seeing. Be warned though, you need to go in the rainy season as if it hasn’t rained, the water here can get badly polluted.

Kapten I Wayan Dipta Stadium (home of Bali United) – if you’re in the mood to watch the football and have the patience to track down tickets, this is the place to do it. Despite being in the middle of nowhere, it’s a great stadium for Indonesia and the matches are really good fun.
Bali Swing Sidan – Bali is full of swing sites, this one means you can enjoy swinging high above the jungle canopy and grab some amazing photographs while you do. It’s one of the cheaper swing sites too.
