If you love Thai food, you’re going to love 2 Bulan. This has got to be Ubud’s most creative Thai restaurant where the team (the same guys behind Bacari & Galle Club) are dishing out traditional Thai & somewhat Thai dishes that are from all corners of Thailand.
They have a very distinct Northern Thai appeal in terms of the décor and the open kitchen is a nice touch too. We like their focus on sharing dishes to create a palate of flavours to draw on throughout your meal.
They make their own noodles from scratch and all their own curry pastes too. You have to check out the Wagyu Ribeye with Massaman Curried Butter or the amazing Green Curry Chicken paired with their ingenious Long Thailand Iced Tea. We love that the wait staff here are always happy to advise regarding allergies and ensure dishes are adapted as needed for the diner.
The lobster ravioli starter was both elegant and sophisticated and the piece of wagyu tenderloin that followed it was simply divine.
