There’s nothing quite like a Sunday roast, be it roast chicken or roast beef, with honey roasted carrots, cauliflower cheese, green beans, braised red cabbage, roasted potatoes and Yorkshire pudding, you just can’t beat it.
The good news is that a holiday here in Bali won’t see you missing out on a Sunday Roast, there are plenty of places that can ensure you get the perfect taste of home on a Sunday here.
All you need to do is choose your meat – pork, chicken, beef, lamb, or even fish and then decide where you want to have it served and maybe, whether or not you want some live music to go with your meal.
Below, you’ll find a roundup of all the best spots for Sunday Roasts on the island, and there’s bound to be one in an area near you.
Roasts In Canggu
The Barn
This sleek, modern British gastropub in the heart of Canggu is a big draw for visitors on any day of the week, but there’s no doubt that the place is famous for its Sunday Dinner.
They offer a choice of beef and horseradish, pork and apple sauce, roast chicken, lamb and mint sauce and a delicious veggie nut roast (which our vegan friends say is world-class).
If you’re particularly hungry, make sure to ask for the XL version of the Sunday Roast and you get extra meat and a bonus Yorkshire Pudding.

Ghost Kitchen & Record Bar
The Sunday Roast at Ghost Kitchen is excellent and it’s extremely good value at just 220,000 IDR ++ (that’s tax and service charge on top) or $16 USD or $22 AUD.
However, it can be even better value because they have Roast + Roll, which means you roll a die and if you roll a “6”, you get the meal for free!
There are no strings on this, and yes, you can win every week if you roll consistently! We can’t think of anywhere else in Bali that has an offer this good!

Brick Lane offers a signature Sunday Roast with Porchetta, Striploin, Half a Roast Chicken, or Lamb Shank served with the biggest Yorkshire Pudding on the island.
For the veggies there’s a caramelized onion tart which is absolutely out of this world as flavour sensations go.
Stay a while and you’ll find they have a nice happy three hours which kick in at 4 p.m. for cheap drinks all the way through until sunset.

Bistro Anwa
You can’t beat this place for value as you get free-flow Yorkshires as part of your 150,000 IDR payment for a Sunday Roast here.
One thing we really like is that they do a takeout version for four people for just 450,000 IDR! It’s guaranteed to leave you and three friends or family members feeling stuffed.
The location is very pleasant, though, and we think it’s worth visiting Bistro Anwa to enjoy the vibe of the place.
