The 10 Best Mediterranean Restaurants, Bali In 2025/2026: That We Really Love

Table of Contents

There’s nothing that gets our mouths watering more than the thought of seafood linguine, slow-roasted lamb shoulder, tuna crudo and signature cocktails in Bali.

Thanks to the tropical climate, abundance of seafood, and the local spices, Bali is the best place in the world for Mediterranean food outside of the Med itself, of course.

So, our team went out to find ten places that everyone should visit on their next trip to Bali when they’re in the mood for a serious Mediterranean feast.

Quick Summary

We’ve got a lot of great restaurants to recommend but if you want to make a quick decision:

  • Chora Ubud – for special occasions
  • Zali Canggu or Uluwatu – for something a bit different
  • Di Mare – for an amazing wine list
  • FINNS Beach Club – if you want to party and branch out a little

Our Top 10 Mediterranean Food Spots In Bali

1. Chora Ubud: A Top Spot For Greek Cuisine

Chora is one of the most premium places on the island for Mediterranean cuisine, but it distinguishes itself by offering a comfortable feel of home among the glamour of the interior.

They use nothing but fresh ingredients and local produce to create food that is out of this world.

This is the place that we go to when we’re really trying to impress someone.

Must Try: King Prawns Pasta, Lobster Thermidor, Rib Eye Black Angus, and Zucchini Cakes

Price Range: Starters from 80,000 IDR to 190,000 IDR, mains from 99,000 IDR (but can go into the millions if you want lobster or the prime steak cuts).

Where Is It? Jl. Bisma No.70, Ubud, Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali 80571

Online: Chora

2. Zali (Canggu and Uluwatu): Lebanese Mezze Brilliance

Zali is two of our best Mediterranean restaurants in Bali, as there are branches in both Canggu and Uluwatu.

This is the kind of food that you can imagine has been handed down from parent to child for generations in order to become so inspired and yet so comfortingly familiar.

Beirut may not be the first place that comes to mind for Mediterranean cuisine, but it really should be if Zali is anything to go by.

Must Try: Duck Confit Salad, Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, Goat Cheese Gnocchi and Hokkaido Diver Scallops

Price Range: Mains from 70,000 IDR to 350,000 IDR

Where Is It? Jl. Pantai Pererenan No.152, Pererenan, Kec. Mengwi, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80351, Indonesia and Jalan Pantai Labuan Sait, Suluban, Pecatu, Kec. Kuta Sel., Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia

3. Di Mare Uluwatu: Local Produce And Clifftop Views

Who doesn’t love a clifftop view, but we think it’s the perfect accompaniment to some excellent Mediterranean cuisine, and that’s exactly what you get at this one of our best Mediterranean restaurants in Bali.

We recommend heading down for lunch and enjoying the view as you dabble in bread and olive oil before the main event.

The wine list is excellent and spending time at Di Mare always puts us in the mood for a cheerful summery white.

Must Try: Tira Rindu, Local Red Mullet, AUS Lamb Shank and Butter Chicken

Price Range: Starters from 95,000 IDR to 140,000 IDR, Mains from 135,000 IDR to 550,000 IDR

Where Is It? Villa Kama Kandara Jalan Villa Kandara Banjar Wijaya Kusuma Ungasan, Ungasan, Kec. Kuta Sel., Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80362

4. Peyia Uluwatu: Some Of The Best Mediterranean Food On The Bukit

You can’t miss Peyia from the street; it’s a really pretty place with a real hit of upper-class styling about it.

We loved the flat breads and hummus here, and we could probably have eaten just that all afternoon if the rest of the menu wasn’t so tempting.

This is a completely unpretentious place where each dish is prepared with love. No need to book a table, just turn up and enjoy dinner and drinks.

Must Try: Halloumi Platter, Lamb Khubz, Star Lamb and Sumac Chicken

Price Range: Starters from 40,000 to 700,000 IDR, mains from 95,000 to 125,000 IDR (plus add-on options)

5. Pasir Ubud: Grilled Octopus And So Much More

Pasir is a lovely open breezy restaurant that makes you feel like you’re in the Med even though you’re a long way from the sea.

This is the perfect spot for a long lunch of small plates or for dining in the evening over something slow-cooked and super tender.

It’s also incredibly reasonably priced, and you’ll find that you can have a great time here even on a tight budget.

Must Try: Octopus Carpaccio, Lombok Scallop, Lamb Kofta, Beef Cheek

Price Range: Starters from 50,000 IDR to 70,000 IDR, mains from 80,000 IDR to 360,000 IDR

6. KALA Uluwatu: The Best Greek Cuisine In Bali?

If you like Greek cuisine and want to try something modern rather than Greek classic (sorry, no Greek gyros here), then KALA is a great place for you.

We love the fact that it’s always packed out because you don’t need a special night to enjoy food this good in Bali.

Go with friends, family or a partner, you’re bound to have as good a time as we did.

Must Try: Slow-roasted Lamb Shoulder, Feta Tempura, Tuna Kokoretsi Souvlaki and their Green Salad

Price Range: Starters are 65,000 to 120,000 IDR, and mains run from 105,000 to 650,000 IDR

Where Is It? Jl. Labuansait, Pecatu, Kec. Kuta Sel., Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia

7. Ina Re Canggu: Dress To Impress For Superb Spanish Paella

Ina Re is an awesome spot just for its natural wine list, which is as kind to the planet as it is pleasing to the taste buds.

They add a touch of the Latin to their signature dishes with which are made from locally sourced ingredients.

The head chef is Cristian Encina, who cut his teeth at Salvaje before coming here, and his expertise shows in every bite.

Must Try: Classico Ceviche, Tenderloin Beef Tartare, Braised Pork Belly and Barbecued Octopus

Price Range: Ina Re offers on-the-spot pricing, but it’s certainly on the high side for Bali

Where Is It? Kitsune, Desa Jl. Munduk Catu, Canggu, Kuta Utara, Badung Regency, Bali, Indonesia

8. Portofino Ubud: A Stylish Lunch Spot With Authentic Italian Pasta

Portofino is Mediterranean food that promises home comfort. This is not fine Mediterranean dining but chilled and laid-back simple fare.

Yet, their signature dishes never fail to impress, and it’s become one of our go-to restaurants in Bali whenever we’re passing by the Monkey Forest in Ubud.

Must Try: Seafood Pasta (the Prawn and Clam Seafood Linguine is to die for), Grilled Snapper, and Roast Pumpkin Hummus

Price Range: Starters 55,000 IDR to 125,000 IDR, mains 85,000 IDR to 295,000 IDR

Where Is It? Jl. Raya Pengosekan, Ubud, Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali 80571

Online: Portofino

9. Luma Bali Canggu: Stunning Mediterranean Dining

This is one of the go-to restaurants that should be on everyone’s culinary journey in Bali.

Luma is one of the most beautiful spots that you’ll find on the island, with amazing walkways and the perfect lighting for a meal stuffed with fresh ingredients.

The theme here is “kissed by fire”, and nearly everything (except the signature cocktails), of course, comes out of a wood-fired oven.

Must Try: Pickled Sardine Crostini, Beef Shin Lasagna, Herb Crusted Snapper and Shellfish Bisque

Price Range: Starters from 60-110,000 IDR, Mains from 100,000-2,900,000 IDR
