The 22 Best Nightclubs In Bali

FINNS Beach Club: Regular International DJs At The World’s Best Beach Club

FINNS Beach Club, if we do say so ourselves, is the pinnacle of the Bali nightlife scene.

Just a stone’s throw from the Indian Ocean, you’ll find local and international DJs playing EDM day and night. Take advantage of our events, where we host the world’s top DJs like Diplo, Skrillex, Deadmau5 and more.

It’s considered to be one of the best nightclubs in Bali by every single person that’s been, and sipping on our signature cocktails while grooving to music is guaranteed to be a fun night.

We’ve been to a lot of beach clubs over the years, but FINNS is simply the world’s best.

Spend the day here first enjoying the infinity pool and then join in the parties in the evenings.

If you come to Bali and don’t come to FINNS? You’ve missed one of the definitive experiences the island has to offer.

Mirror Bali Lounge & Club

The hottest tunes are spun on the deck behind the stained glass windows of the oddest-looking club in Bali.

Mirror Balie Lounge is modelled on a medieval dining room, and it certainly gives the crowd, and the resident DJs a unique environment to play in.

They regularly have international DJs play here, and this vibrant nightlight option in Bali is what you might call a “multi-sensory experience”.

It has to be seen to be believed.

Friends

OK, Friends isn’t quite a nightclub, but it is a very big bar, and they have events with live DJs and parties that go on all night long. So, think of it as a mini club, but with great music and some of the best food around.

We can thoroughly recommend their happy hour with some great deals on cocktails and Heineken draft.

It’s one of the best nightlife spots in Canggu, and it’s somewhere that you can spend the whole day if you want to.

Boshe VVIP Club

This is one of the best clubs around if you enjoy karaoke as part of your nightclub experience.

They’ve invested heavily in technology at this one of the best nightclubs in Bali, and you’ll find their Funktion-One sound system is one of the loudest and most powerful on the island.

Their laser lighting display is impressive, too, and huge plasma screens surround the dance floor!

And if you want to get away from the crowds? Well, you can rent one of their private karaoke rooms, indulge in signature cocktails and sing for your supper!

Red Ruby Club

Red Ruby is not only one of the best nightclubs in Bali, but it’s also surprisingly good value for Seminyak, where partying normally costs a fortune.

It has an old-school New York vibe to it, and the emphasis is on electronica, electronic music and live DJs.

You can also dine at alfresco tables here and grab some refreshing drinks at their sister restaurant, “The Terrace”.

The dress code here is very lax, as it is at most popular clubs in Bali. But if you’re seeking to find someone special, you should put in a bit of effort.

Sky Garden Bali

After the sun sets, many of the biggest partygoers head to this famous member of the clubs in Bali.

It’s a rooftop club and one of the best clubs for enjoying the Balinese weather as you drink.

Of course, it’s more than a rooftop club, and there’s a whole nest of different rooms available to party in once the sun has gone down, but for most people, the rooftop is the initial attraction.

We like that the door fee includes your first drink (though only from a set menu, it’s not going to cover that 25-year-old single malt that you’ve always wanted to try, sadly).

There are also some very good food options nearby, so once you’re finished clubbing for the night, you can get your tucker on easily.

Jenja

After a day splashing around in the cool waters of the Indian Ocean, why not head to one of Bali’s hippest venues at Jenja?

Playing plenty of different music, from hip-hop to trance, you’ll find local and international DJs spinning up a solid selection of tunes here.

It’s got some really pleasant interior vibes, too, and the decor is the kind of thing that looks great on Instagram.

La Favela

La Favela is an unusual place for Bali because it’s a Brazilian-themed nightclub.

We’re still determining why somebody thought that La Favela was a good idea, but it turned out to have been an excellent idea.

The drinks are very spendy at La Favela, but if you don’t mind that, you’ll find that they have artificial waterfalls and indoor gardens to enhance the clubbing experience.

Table service is standard until they clear the tables away to make room for more partygoers! La Favela closes early on weekends, though.

Motel Mexicola

Continuing with the Americas theme, we find Motel Mexicola spreading Mexican vibes in Seminyak and doing a great job of things.

As you might expect, there’s a lot of mezcal in the cocktails here, and it’s a solid place to have a really good time.

One thing you should be aware of, though, is that this nightclub seems to attract motorcycle snatchers outside, so keep a careful hold on your belongings when you leave, or they might spoil your good time.

Black Sand

OK, this definitely isn’t your standard club, but on the weekends, things get pretty wild at Black Sand, and the beer garden sees live DJs pumping out tunes and dancing and partying like you wouldn’t believe.

In fact, it’s a nightclub for people who don’t want to spend time in nightclubs. It’s the best nightlife option for the curmudgeonly folks who are fooling themselves that they’re “past all that” when they aren’t.

Deus

Deus Ex Machina is one of the oddest places in Bali, and we’re not 100% certain that everyone would agree that it’s a nightclub, as it’s also a biker bar, restaurant, biker shop, custom motorbike garage and more.

However, they do party until late most days, and if you prefer a biker vibe to your clubbing, this is the best place to find it in the whole of Bali.

The food is surprisingly good here, too. We love their Japanese noodle soups!

Where Is It? Jl. Pantai Batu Mejan No.8, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia

Pretty Poison

Pretty Poison’s reason for being is skating. Skateboarders abound here, and many of the world’s best skaters pass through their doors.

Once a week, they have a skate jam where they have live DJs and bands playing all night long.

It’s a very youthful crowd, and the drinks are super reasonably priced.

It’s also one of the top spots for someone to get a tattoo in Bali, although we suggest not drinking too much before you get inked.

Where Is It? Jl. Pura Dalem, Pangkung Tibah, Kec. Kediri, Kabupaten Tabanan, Bali 82115, Indonesia

Online: Facebook

Old Man’s Bar

There’s a good argument that this is more of a disco than a nightclub, and we agree.

However, you do get DJs here as the sun starts to sink below the horizon, and it’s a good place to have a warm-up session before moving on elsewhere to somewhere a bit more dynamic.

Bounty Discotheque

The locals often call this the “Bounty Ship” and it has a ship-inspired design.

There is absolutely no dress code of any kind in this club, and if you want to wear your thongs and a singlet? You can go right ahead and do so.

It still attracts plenty of partygoers, and they have some of the most compelling professional dancers on the island.

There are three bars inside, each one serving plenty of cocktails and beers to ensure that you have a great time of things.

Engine Room

Do you want hip-hop, trap and dub? Then, the Engine Room is where to go. There are three clubs in one here and four different bars serving them.

Parties here tend to be very good-natured, but if things get out of hand, you can be certain that their security team will spot it and quickly intervene to ensure that your night isn’t impacted by bad behaviour.

Night clubs in Bali don’t get much better than Engine Room, and the DJ Decks are bound to have you dancing as soon as you arrive.

This club used to be called OPIVM, so if you’re wondering where that went, it reinvented itself as the Engine Room.

Where Is It? Jln Legian No.66, Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali 80361, Indonesia

Single Malt Whiskey Bar

Single malt is only an occasional nightclub, and most of the time, they’re focused on selling some of the best whiskey on the island.

But they do have DJs playing soulful classics some evenings, and if you check their website, you should have a good idea of what to expect on the night you choose to visit.

The design of this place is inspired by the book The Great Gatsby, and while it might not be first on the best clubs in Bali’s list, it definitely earns its place on it.

Hatch Bar Uluwatu

If you want a bar and nightclub combination that’s easy on your wallet and offers more than just a dance floor, you might be looking for Hatch Bar.

They have arcade machines, beer bong, foosball, and much more besides. Most of all, they have very, very cheap pitchers of cocktails, which make it easy to party as a big group without worrying about the bill.

They even have semi-indoor gardens to enjoy! If you want a late-night dance, it’s great for that too.

Shishi

This three-floor night spot in Bali is very popular for its unusual Asian fusion food and its very stylish crowd and decor.

The floor is always packed, and we know many people think that Shishi is one of the most underrated nightclubs in town.

They offer deep house music and an unforgettable night out if you’re up for some fun in this part of Bali’s vibrant nightlife.

We like that the entry fee includes your first drink and find that the late-night Wednesday crowd is one of the friendlies in Bali.

Lxxy

This monster of a club in Legian has room for over 1,000 partygoers at any one time.

If you go, you opt for one of their VIP experiences and get a bit of space for yourself and your fellow ravers.

They have a constantly changing entertainment lineup here, and they’re open until near dawn every single night. We’ve seen some great hip-hop nights here over the years.

Now that there are no day clubs in Bali, this is definitely a place to spend some time if you want to enjoy some late-night fun!

The sound and lighting rig is state-of-the-art, and that really adds to the party vibe.

Vault

With weekly guest DJs wandering all over the musical map, you never know what to expect at Vault, except for a good time.

The parties never end here, and the dance floor is always packed with people having a wonderful time of things.

If you love neon lights, a little glitz and glamour with your dance floors, then a trip to Vault is going to ensure that you really have a good time.

We like the cocktail bar here, The Bunker, too, which is always happy to create the kind of drink we want to be seen drinking in Bali.

If you want something a little more sophisticated than the norm, The Vault is it.

Paddy’s Pub

With free entry and cheap prices, you can’t really beat Paddy’s for the most inexpensive member of the EDM scene in Bali.

However, it could be more popular during the week and really only gets raging on weekends. This may or may not be a big deal to you.

If you want classic tunes, a laidback environment, and to go easy on your wallet, Paddy’s is a good choice. It’s the best nightlife option for those who value a good time and their cash.

1959 Cocktail Bar & Dance Club

The most sophisticated and small-scale club on our list is the 1959 Cocktail Bar & Dance Club.

They make some of the best cocktails on the island here, and there’s no doubt that the live music is very well done and appeals to a broader audience than the music in some of the other clubs.

It’s a very classy place to be, and table service is standard and of first-rate quality. Dress to impress, and you’ll be sure to have a great time at the 1959.
