This is one of the best cafes to work from in Canggu because it’s also one of the best hostels to work from.
Tribal is all about digital nomad convenience and you can set up a laptop stand on the tables here and nobody will care.
However, we would note that there’s no air conditioning and while the breeze is often cooling enough, sometimes it’s a bit too warm for work.

Boheme is part of the Shore Amora Hotel and that hotel is designed specifically to provide facilities to digital nomads.
Thus, this is one of the best cafes to work from on the island by a mile. The big windows ensure that there’s a lot of lovely natural light to work by and it’s always quiet inside.
You can use their infinity pool (they’ll even throw in a towel) if you eat here, but be warned it’s a bit pricey.

It’s not the biggest environment to work from, but there’s no problem setting up a laptop here.

Noah is a beautiful place among the rice paddies of Pererenan and it has a lovely outdoor space and an air-conditioned area for coworking.
It’s rarely busy in this spot as it’s yet to become a big digital nomad hotspot and it’s super comfy with excellent Wi-Fi.
Their breakfasts are awesome and they offer big discounts in the late afternoons on baked goods too.

Miel is quite unique in that you can work in an outdoor-style environment but without losing access to the air conditioning.
The coffee at this coffee shop is both good and strong and you should be careful about drinking too much, too quickly.
We’re big fans of the menu here, and we can never resist their snacks which are super tasty. Not every table has a plug point but there are plenty of tables with power plugs.

If you want to work in peace and quiet without any distractions, you’ll find Blou at the Ecozy Dijiwa Resort, ideal.
Head upstairs to their big and almost always empty air-conditioned floor with loads of plug points and great Wi-Fi.
As long as you buy something, the staff will usually let you work all day long without hassling you to buy more.

This three-floor digital nomad cafe is a wonderful place to work if you’re near Batu Bolong Beach and in need of one of the best cafes to work in Canggu.
It’s a little confusing to get around inside on your first visit and we’d recommend that you take some time to explore before you get seated.
They have loads of power points but you may have to hunt for them as they’ve installed many of them out of sight.

Zin Cafe was one of the first places to be laptop-friendly in Bali and it’s a very comfortable place to work.
You’re expected to go upstairs or out the back if you want to work as the front room is for socializing.
There are always plugs available and the air conditioning is first-rate too. This coffee shop is a bit more expensive, but that’s because they roast their own beans here.

Crate Cafe is one of our favourite spots as it opens very early in the morning when almost nowhere else does.
They have amazing deals on their tasty breakfasts too at this time of day which makes it very good value.
The only downside is that the Wi-Fi is a little slow and you may find that at busy periods, it slows down even more.

Uptodate is a bit off the beaten track and that’s why w love it so much. Unlike most cafes in Ubud, you can guarantee to get good seats and to have the fast WiFi all to yourself.
They have plugs everywhere and there’s absolutely no traffic noise. Just remember that they have live music in the evenings, though.

Wyah is one of the most beautiful spaces that we’ve ever worked from and their great WiFi makes it the perfect place for getting things done.
They have amazing coffee which really refreshes, but we confess the food isn’t the best in town and if you’re all about good food, you might opt for somewhere else.

This is a very trendy place with a vibrant atmosphere and an open-air section with a view of the rice fields.
However, if you can find a table with a plug (and not all of them do) it’s a lovely spot for working from. It gets a bit busy at mealtimes, though.

Keliki is away from the busy city centre of Ubud and it’s a hidden gem that’s bound to keep a nomad happy.

You may need to search for this place as it’s a little hard to see from the main road – it’s a door that looks like it goes into a hole in the wall.
If you get inside, you’ll find an amazing gram-worthy location that is completely cut off from the noise of the city. The coffee is fabulous too.

This Balinese coffee chain is quite famous but somehow, Monsieur Spoon in Ubud is rarely packed out and is very laptop-friendly.

Tucky won’t win any prizes for design but the coffee is incredibly good and the Wi-Fi is always good.
It’s rarely busy and we find it to be one of the places where it’s really easy to get your head down and work in Ubud.

Lazy Cats is a bit of an Ubud digital nomad cliche and you will find it’s busy, popular and full of would-be influencers.

They have fast Wi-Fi and excellent air-conditioning at this Czech-owned cafe with amazing food.
However, it’s a little more expensive than some of the other spots in Amed though we’d say if you’re in Lipah Bay, it’s worth it.

This spot has an incredible yoga shala where you can meditate and flex to your heart’s content.
The working area is completely free, has super Wi-Fi and the food is even better. You also get an incredible view of Mount Agung from here.

We think the coffee at this thoughtfully designed cafe is amazing and the friendly staff are always helpful.
However, it does turn into a bar in the late afternoon and it starts to get noisy at that point. So, come early if you need to concentrate.

This eco-friendly cafe has excellent food and drink and even a small store for you to pick up some community-made pieces from.
It can get a little busy at times, but we like the healthy eating menu and their focus on a low-waste lifestyle.

This locally owned place has great AC and it’s rarely busy so you can rely on it being quiet (sometimes too quiet, in fact, but they will play background music if you ask).
The only downside here is you need to choose your seats carefully as they can be uncomfortable.

This is the busiest cafe in town and that’s because they keep winning awards for latte art.
The food here is incredible and the stylish interior design is amazing. We can’t recommend Oneway enough. It’s a great spot to spend a day working.
