The Hatch is one of those places that’s got everything — not just great food and drinks, but plenty of games to keep you entertained. Think beer pong, pool, table tennis, mini golf, and even Mario Kart to bring out your competitive side.
When we went, there was a live DJ, and it was pretty good fun watching some people dancing with friends, and they made us some great Mojitos. Perfect spot for a fun night with a bit of everything.

High Tide Bar Uluwatu
A cool and trendy spot in the heart of Uluwatu with darts, a pool table and a few chess sets.
They make smashing cocktails here, which taste even better when they have the 2-for-1 happy hour deal on! (The exact times and deal on the happy hour may vary, so check the website or Instagram).
There was a pool tournament taking place when we went there, which anyone was welcome to join, and then later there was a live DJ.

Jack Bar
Ok, so this is something a bit different!
Jack Bar has its own niche, which makes it stand out from most venues. It specialises in drinks and cocktails made from Arak, a traditional Indonesian spirit. We weren’t surprised to see a few locals sipping away at some cocktails here.
When you order your cocktail, you’ll be served it in a glass bottle, with as many glasses as you need for you and your friends. They attempt to tailor the volume of arak to your taste preference, but be warned, these cocktails always come out pretty strong!

Chill Cocktail & Beer Garden
This is a cool, hidden bar just a stone’s throw away from Jack Bar.
The clue is in the name, this bar is very chilled out, the best bars usually are! Open air, wooden seating, a nice garden and live, upbeat music, what more do you need?
The bar offers a fair selection of tipples to choose from, and they even have some arak mixes available. The burgers here were pretty awesome, also.

The Bench Brewery Uluwatu
This is the place to visit if you really like your beer!
While an ice-cold Bintang is always great on a hot day, sometimes you just need that real hoppy flavour. Born from a collaboration with Island Brewing – pioneers in the Indonesian beer movement- you’ll find a selection of craft beers available, from that classic IPA, to the hazy stuff, and that smooth blonde beer.
There are beers here from Bench Brewing, Island Brewing and Black Sand, but it’s not all beer; they have some signature and classic cocktails on the menu, as well as wines, and they serve some great food too.
This is easily one of the best bars in Uluwatu for beer lovers, maybe even on the whole island.

Y Sports Bar – Padang Padang
Y Sports Bar @Padang Padang is located high on the cliffs above the small but cool Padang Padang Beach, just a little bit north of Suluban Beach and Thomas Beach.
This sports bar offers a great drinks selection, and the slushy cocktails are very popular.

Gabet’s Pub
This bar and restaurant, or ‘gastropub’, has a very large food menu, so it’s a great venue if you’re looking for a good feed as well as some drinks.
There’s a world of entertainment here, from live sports on the TV to live music, a variety of bar games, and even a VIP karaoke room!
There’s a selection of beer on the menu, including a few beers from Europe, which makes a change.

Rock Bar At Ayana Resort
Ok, so this one isn’t technically in Uluwatu, it’s in Jimbaran, but we like it here and thought that we’d give it a mention anyway.
Located on the rocks (hence the name ‘Rock Bar’), this place offers jaw-dropping vistas, looking west over the ocean towards Java. This is, of course, another great location to catch that amazing sunset.
There’s a premium spirits and selection of cocktails here, or you can just grab an ice-cold Bintang, and the food menu offers some top-notch stuff to indulge in.
There is a bit of a VIP venue feel at Rock Bar, but don’t worry, anyone is welcome to drink here, not just hotel guests.

White Rabbit Cocktail Bar
This place gives off a bit of a swish and trendy VIP vibe, but it’s actually very warm and friendly at the same time. It has a reputation as a bit of a speakeasy bar.
All of the cocktails were great, but our favourite was probably the Negroni, carefully made by the highly trained bar team.
There was a buy one, get one free happy hour deal while we were there, from 8 pm to 10 pm, but this might change, so it could be worth checking the website.

Urban Beats is the place to go if you want to enjoy your night with some thumping music and neon lights.
