Sing Sing Angin Waterfall is nestled among the rice fields and rainforest of Tabanan and it’s one of the waterfalls in Bali that rarely sees as many visitors as it deserves.
This is good news for you if you want to enjoy a waterfall without being overwhelmed by crowds. It’s an ideal spot for the would-be influencer to practice their photography/videography too without disturbing others.
Where Is Sing Sing Angin Waterfall?
It’s important to note that Sing Sing Angin Waterfall is not the Singsing Waterfall, which is found in Temukus Buleleng and is a big tourist attraction.
The Sing Sing Angin Waterfall is in the Manikyang Village in Tabanan and it’s thoroughly “off the beaten path”. This makes it stand out from some of the other major waterfalls in Bali.
Address: H322+JJ2, Unnamed Road “Jl Raya”, Manikyang, Kec. Selemadeg, Kabupaten Tabanan, Bali 82162, Indonesia
How To Get To Sing Sing Angin Waterfall?
We would recommend that if you decide to visit Sing Sing Angin Waterfall that you either use your own transport or arrange to hire a private car and driver.
This is because while it’s easy to get there by Grab or Gojek, you are very unlikely to be able to get a Grab or Gojek to pick you up at this spot.
The waterfall is a long walk from anywhere else and you don’t want to spend your trip in the middle of nowhere on the island waiting for a ride.
Is There A Lot Of Forest Trekking At This Waterfall?
No, in fact, the worst part of getting to Sing Sing Angin Waterfall is the 3-kilometre driver down the dirt track to the parking lot. It can be very bumpy, indeed.
However, once you get there, it’s a short walk down 50 or so steps and then a slightly longer walk down the river to get to Sing Sing Angin Waterfall.
The waterfall sneaks up on you here, because, despite the fairly dramatic fall distance at this natural wonder, there’s almost no sound because the water hits a sloped rock face before cascading a short distance into the pool below.
When Is The Best Time To Visit Sing Sing Angin Waterfall?
The best time to visit Sing Sing Anging Waterfall, or indeed any waterfall in Bali, is at the end of the rainy season.
That’s because this is the time where you get the highest water volume in the island’s rivers which makes the fall even more exciting to view.
However, we should note that you don’t have to visit this waterfall in the rainy season, the Sing Sing Angin Waterfall doesn’t dry up in the dry season as some of the waterfalls in Bali do.
There’s no particular time of day to visit Sing Sing Angin Waterfall, it simply doesn’t get busy enough here at any time.
If you absolutely must have Sing Sing Angin Waterfall to yourself, then we’d recommend getting there as early as possible as people in Bali don’t tend to get up until later in the day to visit sights. But there’s really no need to rush to this place.
Is There An Entrance Fee At Sing Sing Angin Waterfall?
As we go to press, there is no entrance fee at Sing Sing Angin Waterfall. This place is surrounded by jungle and rice fields and not a lot else and because it’s located in a part of the island that’s practically hidden from easy access – it’s not worth collecting an entry fee.
However, if the number of visitors peaks, there’s always the possibility that the local community will need to start keeping this place clean and tidy as they do at other falls on the island.
We’d strongly encourage you to take home your rubbish from this place to keep it tidy and accessible to everyone.
There are occasional clean-up crews here and there’s a donation box if you want to support their work. If you do want to leave something then 10,000 – 20,000 IDR is more than enough.
What To Expect At Sing Sing Angin Waterfall
The stairs down to Sing Sing Angin Waterfall from the parking lot are a little slippery and they’re not the best-maintained stairs in Bali.
We’d recommend that you walk slowly and keep an eye on your footing. There is no hospital or emergency service that’s very close to Sing Sing Angin Waterfall and you might be waiting a long time if you hurt yourself for assistance.
The path isn’t very well marked along the river, so make sure to keep an eye out for the fading signs.
Once you reach the waterfall you will find it’s split into a twin waterfall with other waterfalls running down the rocks nearby.
It’s a very beautiful place and in our experience, there’s never a crowd at Sing Sing Angin Waterfall, so you should be able to enjoy this lovely place without encountering anyone else at all.
However, this also means there’s nowhere to get anything to eat or drink as Sing Sing Angin Waterfall and you’d be wise to bring a few snacks and drinks to enjoy with you.
