They run 5 to 10k, in all paces, but sometimes they have sprint sessions with a certain pace threshold for optimal training.

Running Tips For A Comfortable Experience

  • Experienced runners often create their own trails, and you can find the most recent routes in apps like Strava.
  • Avoid busy streets. Traffic, exhaust, and risk of injury are not worth it.
  • Always bring water with you. Bali is hot and humid, even a run on a short distance can get you sweating out a litre of water out of your body. Wear a hat, the sun and heat will bake you quickly.
  • Wear light running shoes. Some roads, especially small lanes, are not in perfect conditions, and you may run through grassy trails, sand, gravel, and paved routes, so the comfort of your feet is paramount.
  • The best part of jogging in Bali is enjoying a cold, fresh coconut or a smoothie bowl at a cafe at the end of your run!
