This park, known locally as Taman Kupu-Kupu, is based in the village of Wanasari in Tabanan (Central Bali).
The grounds cover a full hectare and nearly half of that area is dedicated to butterflies.
The Bali Butterfly Park is all about butterfly conservation and you can find national and international researchers working with endangered species at the butterfly park.
Some of the highlights of the butterfly collection here include the common birdwing, the Bali peacock and the majestic paradise birdwing.
They also have an indoor mini-museum here which preserves dried butterfly and insect species (this is due to the short life spans of so many of the creatures).

Kemenuh Butterfly Park
Kemenuh Butterfly Park is roughly 30 minutes outside of Ubud and it’s a good thing to do in combination with a tour of Sukawati.
It’s the second butterfly park on the island but that doesn’t mean that Kemenuh Butterfly Park isn’t impressive.
They have over 500 different species at the Kemenuh Butterfly Park and they are free to roam all over the open space provided by the park.
Some of the most impressive specimens here include the Atlas Moth, Common Cruiser and the Papilio Peranthus.
They also have some interesting educational displays in the lobbies that help you better understand the overall life cycle of the butterflies.
