Don’t expect a kids menu at this fine dining spot in the jungle with the most incredible ocean view in the entire area.
This is the place to take a date or go with a group for a special occasion. It’s much better value than some of the fine dining spots in other parts of the island too and they even offer a shuttle pick-up from the town to get you there!

This pleasant warung is hip and happening and has an excellent live band that entertains diners all night long.

This warung is just set back from Lipah Beach and you can enjoy lovely views over the ocean as you enjoy the food here.

If you’ve ever wanted to tackle an entire roasted pig (babi guling) you can pre-order one at Warung Sabar, but bring a lot of friends if you do, it will take a few days to eat it otherwise.

This family-run warung is a short walk from the main drag and they make Balinese food with the freshest local ingredients possible.
The pork rendang was a real highlight of the menu and the fish curry was excellent too, we shall definitely be back next time we’re in the area.

This is a great place that specializes in Balinese and Italian foods, in particular, pasta and their pesto pasta is awesome.

We found that we were welcomed to this warung with a hearty hello and a big smile and that’s just what we need to feel at home.
The food was very good and the Pepe Ikan was spectacular, the desserts were sweet and pleasant too. However, there’s not much of a view from this place, which is a shame.

This is an Italian restaurant in Amed and it makes no bones about it. The pizzas were very reasonable though we could have used a little more seasoning on them.

This is a great local restaurant with an emphasis on seafood and it’s got a pleasant view over the beach while you dine.
The calamari was really good, soft and tender rather than rubbery and overcooked and the portions were much larger than we’d expected for the price.

It may not be expensive, but that doesn’t mean they stint on service at Warung Amsha, this beachfront place is super welcoming and nothing is ever too much trouble.

This is the first warung that we’d ever eaten Mahi Mahi in Amed and it was absolutely amazing when grilled up with a big Balinese salad as a side dish.

Wayan’s Warung
Our Balinese friends all urged us to try Wayan’s as one of the most authentic examples of local cookery in the area and we weren’t disappointed.

This beach restaurant offers lovely BBQ seafood with really smoky flavours for bargain pricces.
We tried the fresh tuna and were blown away with how tasty it was, it was one of the most delicious meals we had in a town full of great food.

Sails is a very Western-oriented restaurant with a lovely view that makes it worth arriving before the sun goes down.
The lamb medallions were perfectly cooked and very tender. The fish in banana leaf was lovely too. We can heartily recommend their cocktail list and spent a happy evening sampling pretty much everything they had.

This is also a homestay and if you stay in the property you can enjoy their excellent breakfasts.
We should warn you that they have a dog onsite which can be a bit of a surprise when it wanders through the dining area but it’s friendly enough.
